Privacy Policy
Effective October 7, 2026
DoStack is a to-do app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, published by Mathieu Delacroix, an independent developer based in France, who is the controller of your data. In short: DoStack works without an account, collects nothing for advertising or tracking, and keeps your data only to sync it between your devices.
Without an account
Your profiles, projects, tasks, reminders and photos stay on your device. Nothing is sent to us.
With an account (sync)
To sync your devices, you sign in with Apple. We then store:
- Account: the identifier and email address provided by Sign in with Apple. If you chose to hide your email, we only receive an anonymous relay address from Apple.
- Your content: profiles, projects, tasks (titles, descriptions, dates, priority, status), inbox items and reminders (titles, notes, times, repetition).
- Photos (DoStack Pro): the pictures you add to task descriptions.
This data is used only to provide the service. It is not sold, not shared for advertising, and not used to profile you. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking.
Purchases
DoStack Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. We receive the subscription details (product, dates, status) signed by Apple, to unlock Pro on your account.
Link previews
In DoStack Pro, a web address on its own line shows a preview card. To build it, your device loads that page directly, like a browser would: the website receives a standard request from your device. Previews are kept on your device.
Notifications, Siri and Shortcuts
Reminder notifications are scheduled on your device. Capturing tasks with Siri, Spotlight or Shortcuts is handled by Apple according to its own privacy policy.
Where your data is stored
Synced data and photos are stored by our hosting provider, Clever Cloud, in the European Union (France), and always transferred over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Sign-in and payments are handled by Apple.
How long we keep it
We keep your synced data as long as you have an account. When you delete something, its content is erased from our servers; only a deletion marker remains so your other devices remove it too.
Deleting your account
Open Settings → Delete Account in the app. This erases your synced data and photos from our servers and revokes the app's access to your Apple ID. Your tasks stay on your device. A Pro subscription is billed by Apple: cancel it from your Apple ID settings to stop being charged.
Legal basis and your rights
We process your data to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract). Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict its processing. Write to hello@dostackgtd.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Children
DoStack is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date, and tell you in the app for any significant change.
